Steps to do Archer Pose:
If you are going to practice Akarna Dhanurasan for the first time, then following steps may help you to make this yoga pose –
- First of all, lay a mat on a flat ground and sit on it in Dandasana posture.
- Take a deep breath and hold the toes of both hands
- Bend the knee of the left leg and slowly start pulling it with the left hand
- Try to bring the leg closer to the shoulder by pulling it with the help of hand.
- You can do this yoga kriya for the duration as per your capacity and then gradually come back

Precautions:
The practice of Akarna Dhanurasana is usually done under the supervision of a yoga instructor and during this it is necessary to take the following precautions –
- Before starting yoga, stretch the legs well
- Do not do yoga immediately after eating food

- If there is pain in any joint, stop the action immediately.
