Dev-Kund Waterfall Trek
This one of a kind waterfall is like a pearl found in a shell. located in Bhira Village Raigad. Devkund waterfalls are right in between the embrace of Mother nature in Sahyadris. The closest met cities near the trek are Mumbai and Pune at 170 and 110 kms respectively. The waterfalls and the trek elevation are 2700ft maximum. The solitary waterfall flows all year long with fresh water streams at bottom making it a magical place in Maharashtra. The base village being Bhira, it takes approximately 2-3 hours to reach Devkund Waterfalls. The trail is covered with lush green fields, occasional clouds revealing the magical falls seems like a scene out of a movie. The trek is fairly easy and can be visited at any point of time. This is a gift from Maharashtra to its citizens.
Kalsubai Trek
Located in Sahyadri ranges of Western Ghats, Kalsubai stands to be the tallest peak in Maharashtra with a height of 1646m. The peak resides in Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary and is approximately 5.5 kms one way which takes 4 hours to climb. The trek’s difficulty level is moderate as it includes rocky and steep terrain. The base village is Bari and the closest railway station is Igatpuri 20 kms away. People traveling by a private village can easily reach Bari and start their trek. The peak is located in Bhandardara district of Maharashtra. Along with the peak, there are nearby attractions which include Alang Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad, Harishchandragad and many more. Leave Bari at the crack of dawn towards the peak and watch the most epic sunrise of your life as you sip your chai.
Naneghat Trek
This is a historical place in Junnar town which acts as a mountain pass between Konkan and Deccan plateau. The trek distance is 5 kms and the difficulty range is easy.
💡 Many astronomical meets and events take place in Naneghat where many space enthusiasts gather and observe the stars.
Malshej Ghat
The ideal location for trekkers, hikers and adrenaline junkies. Interesting excursions include Harishchandragad, at an altitude of 1424 m. Shivneri Fort which is the birthplace of Shivaji Maharaj is just 40 kms from here. The nearest railway station is Kalyan.
Sandhan Valley
Just what trekkers needed in Sahyadri, a secluded paradise within rocky and rugged mountains. This valley offers spectacular terrain with narrow passages of huge boulders, silent waterfalls and camping sites in Konkan Kada. The nearest railway station from Sandhan Valley is Kasara on the Central Line. The trek starts from Samrad village and ends in Dehne. There are adventurous activities you can enjoy along with trekking are rappelling, coracle, dart and shooting. Waking up in your tents as the sun rays kiss your face is the best way one can begin their mornings. The valley is located in Bhandardara, along with many attractions nearby like Ratangad, Ajoba, Vasundhara Waterfalls, Harishchandragad etc.
