You wake up at 6 am by your alarm clock on Monday morning. What are you going to do? The answer varies from person to person. Some will go out for a morning routines walk, some will sit on their bed scrolling social media. Some will start their day immediately, and some will hit the snooze button and get back to sleep. This starts a repetitive cycle that can waste your two hours of sleep which is unproductive and an overall boring evening.
To overcome these unhealthy behaviors, you’ll need to make some modifications in the morning routines to help you get your day off to a better start.
-
Make Your Morning Preparations the Night Before
While this is an evening habit, planning ahead of time the night before can help you improve your morning routines. Eliminating decision-making early in the morning routines can make the rest of the day run much more smoothly. Plan out your responsibilities for the next day, put out your clothes, and decide what you’re going to make for breakfast… all of these things can help you stay on track in the morning and motivate you to get up on time. If you don’t prioritize waking up early then you’ll be looking for ‘pay someone to take my online class for me’.

Try to Wake Up at The Same Time Everyday
Your body is designed to follow the routines. Therefore, by setting an alarm at the same time every morning, and try not to hit the snooze button, you’re assisting your body to have an alarm that will wake up itself. We all have some internal alarm of some kind; some people function better than others. This can be added to waking up every day at the same time. Even if you don’t sleep until 1 or 2 am. If you wake up at 6 am every day, by the time it’s 5 in the evening you’ll get tired and want to go to bed.

Don’t Pick Up the Phone
This is one of my most difficult challenges. To keep my eyes open, I frequently open Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or another social media platform and begin browsing. This is a really bad habit to have in the morning. For starters, it immerses me in the not-so-pleasant world of news and politics before I even get out of bed.
Plus, you’re constantly bombarded with images and advertisements of models, which may make even the most ordinary person feel insecure. Essentially, it means I can lie in bed for 45 minutes while mindlessly scrolling, so turning the start of my day into a procrastination act – which isn’t fun.
Finally, it denies your mind the opportunity to think freely without the influence of social media. It’s not easy for anyone to put down their phone, but it’s the best option. I always feel more productive and focused on days when I don’t check my phone first thing in the morning. So, please heed my advice and avoid using your phone first thing in the morning!
So what if you have to charge your phone overnight in the kitchen or living room? Invest in a real alarm clock! It will be easier to avoid your phone for the first hour of the day if you do this. The digital respite will be appreciated by your brain.
-
Have A Glass of Water as Soon as You Switch Off Your Alarm
The easiest way to practice this is to keep a glass of water next to where you keep your phone the night before. In this way, as soon as you wake up, the first thing you’ll be reaching out to is the glass of water. During sleep, your body is naturally dehydrated, so this glass of water kickstarts your brain and remain active in the early hours of the morning.
-
On The Other Side of the Room, Charge Your Phone
Checking one’s phone is the first thing most people do when they wake up. You can eliminate this danger by charging your phone on the opposite side of the room or in a whole separate room. Furthermore, if you use your phone as an alarm clock, charging it on the opposite side of the room forces you to get out of bed to turn it off.

Start Your Day Off Right with A Brief Workout
This one may be difficult for most folks but bear with me. Exercising first thing in the morning offers various advantages that should be examined before dismissing it. Waking up and immediately engaging in some form of activity, whether it’s some gentle yoga or a 60-minute run, will wake up your body faster than any cup of coffee will.
You’ll get your blood pumping and wake up from your slumber. It’s also beneficial to work out first thing in the morning because it provides you with a sense of accomplishment.
As a result, you won’t feel like you’ve accomplished anything substantial with your day until you’ve completed your first task at work. It feels great to start the day knowing you’ve already accomplished something positive.
So, give it a shot for a few weeks and you’ll notice that it’s one of the most effective ways to start your day. To be sure, the first week will be challenging. But then again, transformation in any form is rarely easy.
