Every smartphone has problems including software and hardware concerns. There are no mobile phones that can be described as flawless. OnePlus One is one such phone. While OnePlus has provided excellent support and upgrades to address these issues, locating them in the Internet’s maze can be difficult. Hence, we have prepared a list of OnePlus One problems and what you can do to resolve them.

In case you have, you have tried all solutions, but still, your OnePlus One phone is not working, then the issue needs professional intervention and you need to contact an authorised OnePlus service centre Gurgaon to resolve the issue.

Common Problems with OnePlus One and How to Fix Them

1. Battery Does Not Last Long

Despite its big 3,100 mAh battery, some users have been disappointed with the OnePlus One’s battery life.

Possible solutions include:

  • Limit the amount of time your screen’s backlight is on to save your battery. Go to Settings – Display and Lights – Sleep to reduce the screen sleep duration to approximately 30 seconds.
  • The OnePlus One’s new CyanogenMod OS allows you to create several profile settings that you may apply from the power menu. When the battery is low, create one that automatically disables data sync, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other battery-draining apps.
  • Go to Settings – Battery to see which apps are consuming the most power, then ‘force stop’ the ones that are draining your battery the most.
  • Go to Settings – Performance – Profile to enable power saving mode on your phone.

2. Random Reboots

Some users have reported their device turning off and rebooting on its own, seemingly for no apparent reason.

Possible solutions include:

  • Try turning off your Wi-Fi to see if it makes a difference. Sometimes this only happens while the Wi-Fi is turned on; nonetheless, because being without Wi-Fi for the rest of your life is not an option, you may need to replace it.
  • Changing the theme, you’re currently using is a good idea.
  • Try removing applications one by one to check whether the problem is caused by corrupted data provided by one of them.
  • Attempt a factory reset and then selectively reinstall your applications.

3. Charger Overheats

Some consumers have complained that their OnePlus One charger becomes extremely hot to the touch shortly after starting to charge, or that their phone warms up as a result of charging.

Possible solutions include:

  • The lower your battery percentage, the hotter your charger becomes, so try to charge your phone before it drops below 40%.
  • Ensure that the USB ends are correctly attached and that everything connected is flush with the plugs. It is not acceptable for the connector to be loose.
  • Make sure you’re using the charging cord that came with your device because other cables may not work as well.
  • If the problem persists, try using a different wall socket or plugging your phone into your computer’s USB port to see if it helps.

4. Yellow Tint on Phone Display

A yellow tint appears as a gradient near the bottom of the OnePlus One’s screen, according to a number of customers. Some users have stated that this was an early issue with the phone that is being resolved as new handsets were sent out, while others have stated that the problem persists despite receiving newer units.

Possible solutions include:

  • You should be able to tamper with the hues on your phone screen to try and get rid of the yellow tint if you have the latest Cyanogen update by heading to Settings – Display – Screen colour – Custom – Hue and then attempting other shades.
  • Some people claim that the yellow colour will fade over time, particularly if the phone is exposed to UV light. Although this is not a proven approach, you can give it a shot. However, we recommend not exposing the phone to excessive heat throughout the procedure.
  • It’s possible that you’ll have to return your phone and request a replacement or give it to a OnePlus service centre Gurgaon for repairs. Returning your phone should be no problem if it’s a manufacturing flaw, though some consumers have stated that the firm won’t accept returns for displays with a yellow tinge.

5. Poor or Slow Charging

In addition to the charger overheating issue, other users have claimed that their chargers are either not working at all or charging at a very slow rate.

Possible solutions include

  • If you’re certain you’ve been using the cord that came with your OnePlus One, try a new charger and cable that matches the smartphone to rule out the possibility that the charger is the problem.
  • Connect your phone to your computer through USB and see if the PC recognises it and if it charges faster this way.
  • Hold the volume down and the power button together to see if you can get your phone into recovery mode, then try charging it again.
  • If you’re still having problems charging your phone and it’s not the charger’s fault, it’s possible that there’s a problem with the battery in your smartphone, which means you’ll have to send it back for a replacement.

6. Various Touch Screen Problems

The OnePlus One’s touch screen has been reported to have a number of defects, including situations where the screen does not detect touches, does not recognise double-tapping, or registers touches that have not been made.

Possible solutions include

  • Restart the phone by turning it off and on. A soft reboot will usually address the problem for the time being.
  • Some people have found that changing the theme they are currently using solves the problem, therefore you may want to try that.
  • Turn off the adaptive backlight in your display’s settings. This solution has proven to be effective for many people.
  • OnePlus has acknowledged the difficulties, and the most recent version fixes a lot of the multi-touch and general touchscreen responsiveness issues. Ensure that your device is running the most recent version of the operating system.
Conclusion

Every smartphone has problems including software and hardware concerns. There are no smartphones that can be described as flawless. If you have any software issues on your OnePlus device, you may quickly solve them using this guide.

However, if your device’s hardware continues to malfunction, you must take it to an authorised OnePlus service centre Gurgaon and have it repaired.
