The Kheerganga tour takes you on a journey into one of the Parvati valley’s many secrets. The trail is deep in Himachal Pradesh, and the sights are slow and rejuvenating. This journey also provides numerous opportunities to learn about the region’s gorgeous and distinct culture.
If you are a beginner or traveller searching for a deeper journey into the Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh, a trek to Kheerganga makes perfect sense for an upcoming visit. One of the most widely suggested hikes is to Parvati Valley.
Kheerganga has a long history and is revered by both Hindus and Sikhs. Take a closer look at the travel guide before we begin.
Guru Nanakji asked Mardana to remove a large stone that was a hot source in this circumstance. Mardana tanked the Rotis in the spring, and the Rotis sunk. On the advice of Guru Nanak Ji, Mardana begged God to make the Rotis float again, and if that happens, he will pay to feed others as well. The Rotis floated back to the surface and finished baking.

Routes
There are three main routes to choose from. I’ve taken the route less travelled and it’s changed everything, or something along those lines.
Nakthan
This is the quickest and most common route. Kheerganga is around 4 hours away. Nathan is ideal if you focus on the destination rather than the journey (but the journey is also enjoyable!). Then turn left and begin your journey to Nathan Village, following the river left to the Parvati River and then to the Barshaini Bridge. Because this is the most popular route, it attracts a large number of people and is well-marked.
Kalga
Instead of taking a left on the Barshaini Bridge, turn right and begin walking towards Kalga. In the meanwhile, the path merges with the main road (Nathan). This track will take you through dense woodlands, so if this is your first time walking, you may wish to hire a guide along the Himalayan Walk jannattrips.
Tosh
Another route that eventually joins the Nathan Route. This road is also highly popular, especially among those who stayed in Tosh before embarking on the hike. The river Tosh flows near the village of Tosh before joining the Parvati River at Pulga.
Up, up and away!
After completing the Kheerganga track, I strongly advise choosing the Kalga track climbing and either the Tosh track or the nakthan track descending.
The trek is gentle at first, passing through apple orchards. Nakthan has grown in the region as a result of the presence of confirmed hikers, and there are a smattering of eateries. You can even stay on your way back if you want to learn more about hamlet life.
After 30 minutes (to your right), you’ll come to a bridge with an energising dhaba serving lip-smacking meals. While there are numerous roadside shortcuts, it is best not to go out (and advise! ), as many fatalities have occurred here. Keep your eyes on the road!
Halfway
You’ll reach Shalom Waterfall Cafe around halfway through, a lone dhaba near a rushing waterfall. Watermelon juice is highly recommended. When on the hills of a dhaba, Maggi is a necessity (it’s the law!).
The voyage becomes more difficult from here on out. Even though the path is well signposted, it is a continuous rise that might be tough for first-time hikers. The climb is strenuous, so take it at y
The voyage may not come to an end, but you will stop at two dhabas with breathtaking views before seeing the huts, cafes, and hot springs! Your steps can be completed in under 10 minutes with renewed vigour.
Also, you may choose to return to Barshaini or Tosh on the same day, but I would recommend that I stay the night in Kheerganga and that I choose your route back the next day. Also have a look on Bali Pass Trek and Kuari Pass Trek .
Tips
Get up early – Get up early. Leaving when the sun is setting is difficult – believe me, I understand. The walk is long, especially for the first few people, and you won’t be able to see much of it in the sun. Yes, the temperatures are mild at such altitudes, but the sun is even more intense.
Beautiful homes may be found in Barshaini and Tosh, as well as the tiny hamlets along the way.
This community is so beautiful and full of life that it’s an excellent place to rest your legs. The pit comes to an end at Nakthan. It’s near the middle of your journey, and it’s also a great mixture. While you’re at it, remember to mention some Maggi and Fresh Juice products.
Hot springs
Parvati’s Kund Do not come while sin is present! Imagine yourself in a ‘warm bath,’ engrossed in the beauty of the towering mountains of the Parvati Valley. Are you still enthralled? Don’t miss out on this terrible sensation!
