Watch Will Ferrell roast PGA Tour pros during TGL intros

Save for later

Will Ferrell did the player intros for Tuesday night's TGL match between New York and Jupiter Links on ESPN. It turned into a roast fit for Comedy Central.

The Hollywood legend had the mic as both teams entered the SoFi Center and he delivered some delightful daggers ahead of New York's 8-3 win. Have a look and listen:

There are some great digs in there, but let's focus on the Max Homa one. The King of Golf Twitter (If he ever returns to take back his crown) is known for roasting regular golfers' swings, but this time he got properly roasted.

"In the middle, a six-time PGA Tour winner who used to be good at golf," Ferrell says in the clip, "Max Homa!"

Ouch. Ferrell expressed a similar sentiment for Homa's teammate, Kevin Kisner.

"And anchoring Jupiter as a player who should really quit and just get back to the broadcast booth," Ferrell said, "Hey, you might want to duck when it's time for him to chip, everyone, Kevin Kisner!"

Hey, he's got a point considering Kiz's famous bladed bunker shot. And considering how outplayed Jupiter was in the match.

Anyway, Jupiter captain Tiger Woods was spared because he was injured. Too bad because we would have loved to hear Ferrell's thoughts on Tiger's 50th birthday-themed outfit:

Maybe next time.
