Woman goes viral for hitting hundreds of flop shots at her husband, and it's peak entertainment
I’ve been hit by a golf ball only once while out on the course. And yes, it was by my dad. He hooked it out of the bunker, and in seemingly slow motion, it found me standing right next to the cart. There was no real pain, just shock, and I lived to see another round. Anyway, that’s child’s play when compared to Clay Hammerich and his wife, Kylie, who are in the midst of a viral TikTok Golf sensation that’s a cross between golf instruction, MTV’s ‘Jackass’ and BDSM.
There are many ways to describe these videos, simply labeled “Wife flop shot challenge,” however, words fail to really capture what’s happening. This is something you have to watch and pray over. Please enjoy:

You gotta hand it to Clay and Kylie. Making it big on social media is getting tougher and tougher in a crowded landscape, but they found a path all their own. The people want one thing and one thing only: A wife hitting golf balls directly at her husband. The ultimate goal is for her to hit a flop shot over his head … and yet we kind of hope it never happens.

The initial move was to add an extra ball for every 20 followers, and that was ultimately a wild, too safe choice. The couple quickly gained 718 followers after Round 1, followed by 22k and then 40k! Because no one has that much time in the day, they made a bold “pivot” so that after every 5k followers, one piece of protection for Clay would be nixed. Helmet and frying pan stay on.
One might think that Kylie would try to keep things gentle. She did not. She’s turning into Happy Gilmore on some of these swings. And if she’s been aiming for maximum pain, she’s doing a great job.
The comments section is a treasure trove of takes from “I really appreciate her commitment to a full swing” to “I’m so sorry, but you gained a follower” to “The fact that you can take 600 tries at something and not get any better is the epitome of what golf is as a sport.” The best conspiracy theory is that she knows exactly how to hit a flop shot and is just sending rockets his way as a bit of marital payback.
What you do in the comfort of your own bedroom and/or makeshift golf practice setup is your own business, unless it’s good content. Then, it’s for the people.
