How Pantone's 2024 color of the year has already been used in golf
In 2023, we saw vibrant neons, blues, browns and hints of cherry red emerge in the golf fashion world. From Barbie-core pink to the ever-classic multi-shades of green, as more fashion-forward brands have gained traction in golf, so has the (creative) use of color. Colors have made themselves a vital part of golf apparel — often setting the tone (or shade) for any player — but as we look ahead to the next set of trends, it begs the question, what will be the color of the new year? Well according to Pantone, the infamous color matching system, the color of 2024 is peach fuzz. Here are some fun ways peach fuzz has already infiltrated golf.
Described as a velvety, gentle color nestled between pink and orange that is meant to bring on feelings of kindness and tenderness, communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration (which feels eerily on point given the ongoing PGA Tour/LIV Golf debacle). Pantone has released a color of the year, every year, since 1999, but it hasn't taken off until recent years. It has become pertinent in the worlds of interior design, fashion design, product design, printing, and so much more. But for us, we can already see our favorite brands finding ways to incorporate peach fuzz into apparel pieces — especially as spring/summer collections begin to drop after the new year. And with the Masters being the official kickoff to the golf season, the ice cream sandwiches won't be the only things we'll be peachy about.

Speaking of the Masters and peach fuzz, we've already seen this combination with the special edition Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour Golf Shoe that dropped in April of this year. The soft green and yellow-orange details blended with the burlap-sack-like textured material mimic the appearance of fuzz — making for a deliciously stylish one-of-a-kind shoe.
Toeing the line of more coral than peach (the pink-to-orange balance is crucial), this mock neck sweater has a more familiar feel to it. Macade has experimented with peach and its opposite color light blue quite a bit, and we'd like to see that dichotomy more in the new year.
Will away the cold in this spring-like micro-printed floral and soft orange polo from FootJoy. When it comes to trying out something new, sometimes it's best to do so with a more traditional brand that does the classics well, so no matter how experimental a style is…it is never "too much".
A vest (or “gilet” as it is sometimes referred to), is an unexpected way to bring color to cold-weather outfits. An infusion of this soft orange shade is a refreshing break from the black and navy shades we typically see in layering. Pair this vest with your classic navy, black or white long sleeve on moderately cold days—just make sure you have an insulated base layer because, while the body is windproof, you’re on your own with the arms.
Peach fuzz isn't just limited to apparel — get creative (and on-trend) with your on-course accessories, too. Take a tip from the color wheel, and add accenting pops of color to transform your golf bag into…well, whatever you'd like it to be! Golf bag themes exist, so do one that's a bit untraditional.
The energetic peach color complements this modern silhouetted polo perfectly. We love the extended sleeve and tall mockneck zip finish that add an extra-athletic finish to this fan-favorite.
Shopping off-season for items is one of the best ways to score a deal, and this tennis dress is the perfect example of that. It may be "last season" but luckily this peach color trend just in time, so you're ahead of the fashion curve.
We didn't know we needed abstract art on colored grips until now. The contrasted light-orange and green tones of these grips are so creative and unlike anything we've seen. Imagine breaking out your peach-colored golf bag with the matching grips — you'd be the talk of your club!
Reminiscent of the orange Creamsicles from our childhood, these adidas golf shoes may not be the sweet treat from your memories, but they are still a sweet deal currently on sale on Amazon.
The weather may be turning frightful, but keep your wardrobe bright and delightful with this pastel orange quarter-zip — an excellent mid-layer for these chilly rounds until spring has sprung.
We're rounding out this colorful list with a simple golf towel, a must-have on-course item that can dress up any golf bag. And as a fun little bonus…it's on sale.
If you're not ready to go full orange, hats and other accessories are a great place to start. We love this Callaway cap because it's an approachable take on the peachy trend. Throw it on to brighten up any wintertime fit and energize your round.
Pushing the envelope in golf apparel, Eastside Golf has merged streetwear with on-course wear, while also introducing refreshing color palettes along the way. We love this soft shade of orange because it can almost resemble khaki—and will match with almost anything you wear your classic khakis with.
This has been one of our favorite products of 2023 and for the foreseeable future, this will be in heavy rotation (especially with the approval of Pantone).
